Dear Sophie,
I am not sure what we are doing is the kind of implementation you are looking for; however, here at the Archives nationales de France, we are currently working on a web application that will make our controlled vocabularies (I suppose this is what you are calling
terminology) and authority records (on agents and places) accessible to end users and to machines.
This is about 18,000 agents, 52,000 places, and 3,400 concepts, which are contextual entities of the records held by the institution; it is an incomplete and imperfect, but quite significant reservoir of knowledge. However we store this data in various formats;
for technical reasons it is difficult to enrich some of the source files; and our information system does not provide users with the means to access this data (except for authority records on archival creators), nor to exploit its very nature, which is that
of a directed graph.
So we have converted the whole to a single RDF knowledge graph, using mainly SKOS and RiC-O (we are now using RiC-O 1.1); we have started to enrich this RDF dataset ; and we are now preparing a web interface to browse, query and access the data.
The outcome is not yet publicly available (a first version may be made public by the end of the year). I will provide a quick overview on the project at ICA Barcelona 2025.
If you would like more information about this project, do not hesitate to contact me directly.
Best regards,
Florence Clavaud
