Welcome to the Records in Contexts users group!

This group, created in April 2023 by the International Council on Archives (ICA) Expert Group on Archival Description (EGAD), brings together all those who wish to provide or get information on the new ICA Records in Contexts (RiC) standard and on events concerning this standard, contact the community of interested persons and users of the standard, ask questions, discuss current or future implementation issues and projects. Of course the group also includes the members of ICA EGAD, who are responsible for developing and maintaining RiC, and who will be happy to interact with the community and help as much as possible.
The topics discussed may concern any part of the standard: the Introduction to Archival Description (RiC-IAD), the Conceptual Model (RiC-CM), the Ontology (RiC-O) or the Application Guidelines.

The group is administered by members of EGAD. Its conversations are public. In order to send an email and thus participate in a conversation,  or to access the list of the members of the group, you must be registered as a member of the group (see how to do so there: https://support.google.com/a/users/answer/9304806?hl=en; you will need to create a Google account if you do not have one, see: https://support.google.com/accounts/answer/27441?hl=en). Once registered, you should be able to send and receive emails from the group, using either the group webpage, or directly your usual email client. The email of the group is Records_in_Contexts_users@googlegroups.com.

Please use English when you join or start a conversation, so that all members of the group, who live all over the world, can understand you. We are counting on numerous, constructive and always courteous discussions.
