Role                 : Senior Cloud (AWS) Data Platform Engineer

Location          : McKinney, TX (100% onsite) – Face to face required. Need candidates from local or drivable distance who can go for inperson interview


Note: We only need local candidates as there is a In-person client interview.

 

Role Summary

We are looking for a Senior Cloud (AWS) Data Platform Engineer with deep expertise in AWS, and understanding of Microsoft Azure, and hands-on experience deploying and operating data integration pipelines.

This role will be responsible for designing, deploying, integrating, and supporting a production-grade data platform that includes AWS services, Azure SQL MI, Snowflake supporting enterprise-scale analytics and reporting workloads.

 

Key Responsibilities

 

Cloud & Infrastructure

• Design, deploy, and manage AWS infrastructure supporting data ingestion, processing, and integration workloads.

• Integrate AWS-hosted services with Microsoft Azure components, including Azure SQL Managed Instance, APIs

• Deploy and manage VMs, networking, security, scaling across cloud environments.

• Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform / CloudFormation / ARM where applicable.

• Manage cloud networking (VPC/VNet, subnets, routing, private endpoints, security groups, NSGs).

 

Data Integration & Analytics

• Deploy, configure, and operate for:

o Snowflake ingestion

o Replication and nightly ETL processing

o API-based data ingestion

• Support Snowflake environments, including connectivity, performance tuning, and data movement.

• Ensure reliable data pipelines feeding enterprise Data Warehouse

• Work closely with application platforms (e.g., OutSystems, APIs) to enable secure and scalable data exchange.

 

Operations & Reliability

• Own production support for cloud data platforms, including incident resolution and performance tuning.

• Implement monitoring, logging, alerting, and cost-optimization strategies across AWS and Azure.

• Ensure security best practices (IAM, encryption, secrets management, network isolation).

• Maintain operational documentation, runbooks, and architecture diagrams.

 

Collaboration & Governance

• Partner with data engineers, analytics teams, and application teams to deliver end-to-end solutions.

• Work with security and compliance teams to meet enterprise governance standards.

• Support audits, DR planning, and high-availability setups.

 

Mandatory Technical Skills

AWS (Strong Expertise)

• EC2, VPC, IAM, S3, RDS

• Security groups, NACLs, routing, private connectivity

• Monitoring (CloudWatch), logging, and cost management

 

Data & ETL

• Deployment, configuration, operations)

• Snowflake (data loading, performance, integrations)

• SQL Server / SQL MI

DevOps & Automation

• Terraform / ARM / CloudFormation

• CI/CD pipelines

• Scripting (Python, Bash, PowerShell preferred)

 

Good-to-Have Skills

• Experience with multi-cloud architectures (AWS ↔ Azure)

• API integration patterns (REST, authentication, throttling)

• Experience with regulated or enterprise-scale production environments

• ServiceNow or ITSM-based operational support
