RAPS Updates!!! (Philippines Toy Drive, RAPS Christmas, Miss Philippines Pageant)

Hello RAPS Member!

Finals are fast and approaching, but fret not! RAPS will help relieve the tension by giving you a little taste of the holiday season that awaits you after those pesky exams are done with. This will be the last meeting of the year, so this may be the last time you get to see your RAPS family before finals CONSUME your lives. :D

Additionally, we will be playing an epic game of White Elephant! For those unfamiliar with this game, you basically bring a gift ($10 minimum) and everyone puts their respective gifts in a pile. Everyone then sits in a circle around the gift pile and takes turns getting new (and possibly amazing) gift from the pile. However, there's more to this game, for it also involves a certain degree of cunning and thievery, heheh. All is explained by the link in the Facebook event page. So make sure you read up on it or you may lose out on getting the gift you want! Playing this game is not mandatory, but you'll definitely be missing out on a fun time, as the senior member of RAPS can tell you.

Also, RAPS Christmas won't just be about receiving a BAMF present from White Elephant. We will also be embracing the spirit of GIVING by holding a toy drive for impoverished children in the Philippines. So we ask you that as you shop for your sexy White Elephant gift, that you also think about those less fortunate than us and maybe buy a brand new toy for a deserving child in the Philippines. Finally, make sure you're free on January 29! FSA of Rutgers-Newark will be hosting the 4th Annual Miss Philippines Pageant and our very own Arianne Maliwanag will be representing RAPS, so make sure you try and come out to support her! More information will follow.
