The school year is drawing to a close, so you know what that means! Time for a new E-Board! But in order for you to be eligible to run, it is MANDATORY that you shadow an E-Board member at this weekend's Battle of the Barrios! If interested, you MUST e-mail <
raps.a...@gmail.com> by FRIDAY at 12pm with your full name, cell phone number, and position(s) you intend to run for. On Saturday, be at Trayes Hall by 11AM to begin your shadowing. Finally, at the end of next week's RAPS meeting, we will be holding nominations for the following E-Board positions:
The Secretary (1) shall record all the actions of the organization by keeping minutes at the meetings and maintain all correspondence to the members of the organization. The Secretary must also keep an accurate up-to-date list of all voting members and shall make sure that all officers are well informed about the meetings
The Treasurer (1) shall handle all financial transactions of the organization and keep an accurate record of it. The Treasurer and the President shall be the only people authorized to withdraw funds.
The FIND Representative (1) shall act as liaison for the organization to the Filipino Intercollegiate Networking Dialogue. FIND is an organization that promotes unity and cooperation among the Filipino students at East Coast colleges, universities, vocational, and technical schools
The Asian Student Council (ASC) Representative shall act as liaison for the organization to the Asian Student Council. The Asian Student Council is an organization within Rutgers University.
The Public Relationship Representatives (2) must represent the Rutgers Association of Philippine Students at each of the four campuses under Rutgers University: Busch, College Ave., Livingston, and Cook/Douglass. The Public Relations Representatives shall be responsible for providing members on each corresponding campus with the organization’s updates and promoting the events.
The Balita Editor (2) must create a newsletter consisting of articles by RAPS members for each of the RAPS events.
The RAPS Dance Troupe Coordinator must prepare the RAPS Dance Troupe for events and oversee the team's direction in the dancing community
The RAPS Cultural Dance Troupe Coordinator (1-2) must prepare the RAPS Cultural Dance Troupe for events.
The Sports Coordinator (1-2) must organize sports activities for RAPS members. These events can include Rutgers intramural sports and sports events hosted by other organizations.
The Media Crew Coordinator must manage a media crew to document RAPS meetings and events
The Webmaster shall keep the RAPS website up to date and assist the Balita Editor and Media Crew Coordinator in adding their contributions to the website.
