RTI_help and Build_RTIs and CHI Forums

[RTI Group Admin]

Hi all,

Kathryn and I have been talking about the RTI_help Group in relation to CHI Forums. 

While RTI_help will continue unchanged we think we all should use CHI forums as the primary place to carry on imaging discussions. As noted in a previous post here on RTI_help it is inconvenient to post to two discussion groups. During the past 30 days there have been over 60 posts to the CHI Forums making it much more active than RTI_help. Like RTI_help membership in CHI Forums is free and open to all and Carla Schroer and Marlin Lum of CHI are actively posting to the CHI Forums answering member questions. This makes CHI Forums a

terrific

 resource!

So as admins of RTI_help we propose: 

- that RTI_help will continue as a back up forum, that is, if there is a problem communicating with CHI Forums, RTI-help members will be able to communicate through the RTI_help Group.

- RTI_help will continue to be a good place for sending time sensitive announcement messages such as upcoming conferences and the like since messages go directly to all members' inboxes.

- the Build_RTIs website of RTI_help will continue as an access point for shared Google docs (e.g. RTI Bibliography, RTI Glossary, RTI_help Membership list and

Discussions

)

. These will continue to be accessible to and developable by RTI_help members only.

- the Build_RTIs website, because it is a single page website and therefore easy to navigate, will also continue to be a convenient access point to the most recent and most viewed CHI Forums topics as well as the CHI Software downloads page.

- the Build RTIs website will also continue to be a convenient way to link to all RTI/PTM web viewers. See the list under "RTI_help GROUP RESOURCES"

We are grateful to you all for contributing to RTI_help and continue to welcome your participation in the group in the revised capacity proposed above.
