We're kicking things off for MADExpo 2012 (June 27-29). Last year we
had a great response from the speaker community and we're expecting
2012 to be even better.

This year, we are adding a full day to the conference - we'll have
sessions all day Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. We're planning to use
this extra day to not only deliver more content, but to give us a
framework which allows us to focus more on the community and
networking aspects of this year's MADExpo.

We're interested in all topics for all platforms. We're interested in
sessions focused on single technologies and sessions that appeal to
developers working with any language on any platform. If you have an
idea, feel free to pitch it to us. These are just some of the areas we
think would be interesting:

* Web Development
* Database Development
* Client Development
* Mobile Development
* Cloud Development
* Hardware Hacking and Microcontroller Programming
* Natural User Interface (NUI) Development
* Agile Methodologies
* Best Practices
* Open Source Development
* Beginner Topics
* Robotics
* Portal and Content Management System administration and development
* Infrastructure management and development
* UX/UI and Design
* Soft Skills

Just wanted to bring this back up to the top, since there is still a bit of time to get your talk in if you are interested!

Even if you aren't speaking, I hope to see a lot of you there. Last year was awesome.

I'll second that, this is a great conference and not just Microsoft oriented.  There's awesome stuff here for anyone, kids workshops, and Hampton Roads is a great place to take the family for a weekend.  Speak or don't, but you should go nonetheless.

ROBOTS OF DEEEEEAAAAAATTTTHHHHHHH!

No seriously, this is fun stuff. MADExpo is not your average geek conference. These are geeks with attitudes and soldering irons and they ain't afraid to use 'em. Dream up something fun and speak about it.
