Victory to this land of Dharma,
Ever fragrant with non-violence.
Here the lamps of the Three Jewels shine,
Radiant with samyak darśana.
Here blows the breeze of the Jina’s teaching;
Here true knowledge arises.
As the lake of right conduct grows ever purer,
The dust of karma is washed away.
Infinite souls dwell here,
Bound in the sorrow of saṃsāra.
Through the cultivation of compassion,
Sinful karmas are shed.
The lamp of anekānta shines brightly,
Syādvāda reveals reality.
One who constantly contemplates the Self
Finds the path of liberation.
By the dust of the Tīrthaṅkaras’ feet,
This earth is forever sanctified.
I bow always to this sacred land,
A place that guides souls toward liberation.
Vocabulary
Three Jewels (Ratnatraya)

Enlightened perception, the right way of seeing reality, free from doubt and delusion.
Saṃsāra
Worldly existence; the endless cycle of birth, death, and rebirth through which the soul wanders.
Anekānta
The doctrine of non-one-sidedness. Understanding that reality has many aspects and cannot be fully described from a single viewpoint.
Syādvāda
The Jain doctrine of conditional or relative predication, which understands that truth is expressed from particular standpoints rather than in absolute terms.
Tīrthaṅkaras
“Ford-makers” or enlightened teachers who show the path across the river of saṃsāra to liberation, having crossed it themselves.
Mokṣa
Liberation, the state of perfect freedom, infinite awareness, and unending bliss, beyond the clutches of the cycle of rebirth.
