OFFICIAL MINUTES OF MAY 23 00, 2007

The monthly meeting of the Ramona Outback Amateur Radio Society
(ROARS), met at Chuck Carlson's house for the annual ROARS Auction and
BBQ. There was no official business conducted at this meeting. If
you were unable to attend this event, you missed a great time with
lots of fun and good deals to be had on various items that were
donated to the club for the auction.

The Carlson's provided enough burgers and dogs to feed an army. The
side dishes that members brought to the event were also exceptional.
If you were like me, and ate a little bit of everything that was
provided, you went home stuffed. In fact I think I hurt myself! This
was a great evening!

1. MEETING CONVENED AT 7:00 P.M. President Richard Elling convened
the meeting and everyone recited the Pledge of Allegiance. He then
introduced Lee Pedlow and asked him to be the recorder of all auction
transactions. He introduced Don Scott and made him the master
auctioneer for all the items that were auctioned off.

2. PRESIDENTS REPORT : Richard Elling made no report.

3. VICE PRESIDENTS REPORT: Randy Cleveland made no report.

4. TREASURER'S REPORT: Lee Pedlow sent me an email earlier that said
for the month of May he received $20 for dues. The club expenses were
$15.68 for the Cox Repeater phone bill. That gives an ending balance
on deposit of $2,786.94.

5. SECRETARY'S REPORT: Tom Carmody said the minutes of the last
meeting are posted on the Google page and like he said above, he
really hurt himself with all the good food.

6. NET MANAGER'S REPORT: I should have had a tape recorder going to
capture all the pearls of wit that Don Scott said while conducting the
auction. So I won't even try to repeat them. You had to be there!

7. REPEATER TRUSTEE'S REPORT: After we ate, Chuck Carlson took those
of us who were interested out to his garage and gave a demo of his
repeater station and showed us how to reset the station in case it
needed it and he was not home to do it. A lot of stuff to remember,
so I think he is going to put the procedures in writing so any of the
members could correct the problem if Chuck is out of town.

8. OLD BUSINESS: None

9. NEW BUSINESS: None

10. NEXT MEETING: The forth Wednesday of the month which is June 27,
2007
The meeting was adjourned when the last person who left turned out the
lights.

Respectfully Submitted,

Thomas D. Carmody, Secretary
