Are you interested in speaking out about climate issues? Do you want to help build a youth climate movement in Rhode Island?
THEN COME GET TRAINED TO GIVE A PROFESSIONAL CLIMATE PRESENTATION!
When: Friday, April 17th, 2:00-4:30
Where: Brown University, Smith-Buonanno G18
The Alliance for Climate Education (ACE) (www.climateeducation.org <https://email.brown.edu/exchweb/bin/redir.asp?URL=https://email.brown.edu/exchweb/bin/redir.asp?URL=http://www.climateeducation.org> ) will be training students from Brown and other Rhode Island college in its new climate change PowerPoint presentation. Trained students will deliver this presentation, which resembles Al Gore's talk in An Inconvenient Truth, to high school classes and assemblies in order to spread climate awareness and activism among Rhode Island youth. Presenters will begin visiting high schools in late April or early next fall, depending on their schedules. This training and the broader climate education campaign is a great opportunity to become a climate leader and to develop public speaking skills, and will also provide an opportunity to network and collaborate with progressive activists from other RI colleges. No prior experience with environmental education is required.
If that doesn't sound cool enough, please know that there will be PIZZA from the new Nice Slice bicycle deliveryman.
So come along for one last productive activity before Spring Weekend!
Please email Jonatha...@brown.edu if you're interested or have any questions.
