Hi,

There is a hearing on an extremely important bill tomorrow for renewable energy development here in RI. The Long Term Contracts renewable energy legislation is being heard in the Senate Environment Committee. The bill S0111, would help in pushing RI to be one of the leading states in offshore wind energy. Please if you are able to, come to the hearing and show your support for this bill. This bill will not only help in bringing renewable energy development to our state, but will also push are state toward reducing our impacts on climate change.

The hearing usually start around 4:30. Attached is the bill information and location of where the bill will be heard.

Thanks
Chris Kearns

I noticed it passed through committee today.  Yahoo!  Does anybody know if there's a House version of this bill?  If so, what is its number and status?

H5002. It also had a hearing yesterday and passed through committee. It is scheduled for the House Calendar. The kickback to Grid is the major difference between the two bills. House version gives 3%. Senate version gives 2.75%. We'll see what happens.
