Please see below for information about a summer research program in
Texas. One of our students attended a few years ago and found it to be
a very worthwhile experience in archaeology, geology and paleontology.
This is not a field school, but does provide a good experience for
those wanting to volunteer. Volunteers receive food and lodging
(tents); the main expense is travel to Texas.

I will post the flyer on this website. See also:

Dear Dr. Bovy,

We are currently searching for volunteers for the upcoming 2010 field
season. We offer a great program where interested students can learn
Quaternary field techniques (archaeological, geological, and
paleontological) while participating in a diverse range of fieldwork
opportunities. Attached is a flyer describing the Lubbock Lake
Landmark's regional research program and how to apply. Please pass
this on to anybody interested in participating in fieldwork this
summer, and also feel free to post this on a bulletin board. If you
have any questions feel free to contact us through e-mail, or
telephone Dr. Eileen Johnson at 1-806-742-2481.

Sincerely,

Dr. Stance Hurst
