Hello from Galen University,
We are once again offering our intensive summer field courses this
summer. I am attaching the course schedule and specific course flyers
which pertain to our well-known Archaeology and Anthropology course
pairings. They are very field intensive and hands-on learning
experiences. Students earn six US academic credit hours through our
relationship with the University of Indianapolis. Our pricing is the
same as in past years, which includes housing and some transportation
and weekday breakfasts. Dr. Jaime Awe, the Director of the Institute
of Archaeology for Belize, is the professor for the Mesoamerican part
of the Maya courses.
The additional flyer attached is for our new course pairing of the
Creole Culture in Belize and the African Diaspora in Latin America and
the Caribbean. It is a terrific combination of courses to study in
Belize and will also include field
experience.
Galen University offers semester study abroad programs in both areas
of study, as well. We are also able to customize short field programs
based on an individual institution’s needs. Galen’s size and
innovative approach to education allows us to be flexible and
responsive to a variety of ideas. Our international faculty is
diverse and of course, Belize itself is a great resource. I hope you
will share this information with students and departments who might
find value in our offerings. Please contact me if I can be of any
assistance.
Warm regards,
