Quarter Auction update and Volunteers needed!

Hello everyone,

We have sold under 200 tickets to the Quarter Auction.  Please, if you did not order your tickets, do so now!  If you want to reserve a table, you need to buy 10 tickets in advance. Otherwise, it is space available first-come, first seated at (un reserved) table of choice.  The vendors list includes:  Longaberger, Pampered Chef, Paparazzi Accessories, Grace Adele, Lindt chocolates, Scentsy, Sweet Minerals, Origami Owl, Jamberry Nails, and Jeanette's Professional Hair Care Products, 

We will have a "VIP" paddle offer, and also a selection of gift-cards, in sealed plain envelopes, which contain up to $100 in value of gift cards to local restaurants, auto service centers, local stores, and more!  All for a 2 quarter bid!   You bid, then pick an envelope to see what you've won!  Its so much fun!  Will YOU be the $100 gift card winner?  Or $50 auto service winner?  Or another?  No prize from any of the vendors or the gift certificates will be valued at less than $20!   Other fun stuff includes a 50/50 raffle, a Ravens themed basket, and many toys for kids of all ages!  

Please, don't forget your quarters!  When I go to similar Quarter Auctions, I usually like to bring 4 rolls of quarters, plus money for food, 50/50 drawings, etc.  We Will have plenty of quarters for sale as well ($10 per roll).  How much you spend is entirely up to you - you do not have to bid on every single item.  (If you do, bring extra quarters and be prepared to win a lot!)  Many people like to win stuff that maybe they are not interested in themselves, but for a friend or family member for a gift.

We are also in in need of volunteers for the event.  Can you spare some time, even if you are not interested in playing the games at the Quarter Auction, to support your PTA?   We will primarily need people to:  1) sell tickets at the door.  2) help customers select their chosen paddles, 3) match chosen paddle numbers to numbered poker chips and place poker chips in barrel, 4) take and fulfill food orders during the auction event, so people don't have to leave their seats to get food.  5) help with clean up after the event (collecting all numbered paddles, putting them away for future use), 6) Selling rolled quarters.

PLEASE get the word out - we need more tickets pre-sold.  Tell your family and friends on FaceBook or blog or give them a phone call to tell them about this exciting opportunity to have fun!  Quarter Auctions are always more fun with friends and family playing along with you!

The event will be on Feb. 17th beginning at 2:30 and ending about 6 pm.  It will be at the Tall Cedars hall at 2501 Putty Hill ave.  Parkville 21234
