Straws, Popsicle/craft sticks wanted!

Hello everyone I hope you are staying cool in this heat wave! Previously, I had asked for paint stir sticks to make paddles for our planned event in February. But now I realize 1000 of those who use be pretty bulky to carry around. So the pan has been changed to utilize instead, 6" long wood or plastic "Popsicle" type sticks. I can't use the standard 4 1/2" sticks as they are too short once you put a number on them. Does anyone happen to have these often called "jumbo craft sticks" just sitting around? I need 1000 of them. Thank you for any donations of any quantity of these items, and/ or leads on a god place to buy them at reasonable cost. Large, long, thick milkshakes or slurpee straws might also work. Again, thanks in advance for any contributions you may have toward making this fun and different type of event a success.
Most of the craft stores I have called want $5 for 300 of these sticks. And most of them, even online, are out of stock.

P.S. Here are pictures of the project, a sneak peek at what's to come. This event will be BIG and FUN! Many bargains to be had on toys and housewares and MORE. All brand new and many could be had for 25 cents!
