Hello and Happy New Year, everyone! I hope your year is off to a great start. The Quarter Auction fundraiser event will be here before we know it - just about 6 1/2 weeks away!! And there is still much work to get done to make it a HUGE success. What I need are: people to glue the paddle numbers onto the paddles (I have them in bundles of 100 paddles, all color coded). Regular paper/ white Elmer's school glue or glue stick will work just fine for this task, and anyone with a half-hour or so of time can work on it at home or on your lunch work break. VERY EASY work to do, but I'm overwhelmed and need the help! (and my work/dining room table is awash in glue!).
Another thing, more immediate of a need, is I need people to create large posters advertising the Event. We hope to get 500 bidders! The more bidders, the more fun, the smoother the event will go, and the more quarters we will bring in! I have created 6 posters to hang up at Red House Run. I'll hang them tomorrow. I would love to see some posters hung up in local businesses who agree to support us by giving us a little window or bulletin board space. (Would also be GREAT to ask them for gift card/door prize donations as well!).
Please LMK if you can do either of these tasks for me, the deadline for the posters would be next weekend, and the deadline for the gluing of the numbers would be Februrary 1st.
BTW, Tickets to the Quarter Auction will go on sale Monday January 7th. So keep an eye out for those ticket order flyers coming home next week!
