We are having an Impromptu Pancake Party on Sunday, September 6, 2015, 10 am - 12 noon, on the School Bus Turnaround on High Meadow.  These are Pancakes with a Purpose -- to get Runnymeade residents together to talk about and prepare for Tuesday night's meeting with VDOT to consider Runnymeade's proposal to permit parking along Crown Royal Drive. "Flapjack" Phil Ryan is going to grill his special pancakes on the turnaround. We'll have coffee and other beverages. Even if you won't be able to attend on Tuesday night, please stop by and find out how you can help. Come as you are when you can.

 

We will have regular garbage collection on Labor Day, Monday, September 7.  It is recommended that you put your trash out Sunday night, as it is possible that trash will be collected earlier than usual on Labor Day. 
 

VDOT and Fairfax County staff have scheduled a Public Meeting on Tuesday, September 8, 2015, at 6:30 pm, to get more information and provide input on proposals (first raised by Runnymeade) to permit on-street parking along Crown Royal Drive.  The meeting is being held at Rose Hill Elementary School, 6301 Rose Hill Dr, Alexandria, VA 22310.  We need to have as many Runnymeade residents as possible in attendance and expressing support for this proposal.  Attached is the invitation issued by VDOT.  You may also have seen the signs posted (by VDOT I assume) in several places on Crown Royal Drive.
