Sir/Madam,

Greetings from Pune Management Association and wish you very Happy Festival Days Ahead !!

As you are aware Small & Medium Enterprises have been spread all over the country and contributing very significantly to India’s Economic Development and their contribution to industrial production, employment creation, exports, and for providing seedbed for enterprise development is well known.

However, SMEs have been facing serious constraints and problems for their growth and development, more so in the context of globalization of the Indian economy. The Government of India has come out with the legislation to intensify its support to small enterprises and broad base their spread to include the medium enterprises and services sector apart from the micro enterprises.

The parliament passed the bill and the MSMED Act 2006 came into effect from June 2006. Rules and Regulations by the Government of India have now been framed for its implementation and it has become operational w.e.f. 2nd October 2006.

Discussion with the bankers, credit rating agencies & other stakeholders have indicated that SMEs need skills not only to manage their funds but also to develop their capacity to formulate their proposals effectively seeking finance as Bankers are ready to finance SMEs if managed well.

AIMA successfully organized 16 workshops in the last year in areas of concentration of SMEs at various locations in the country in cooperation with Local Management Associations and collaboration with NSIC & banks as well as Credit Rating Agencies. Keeping these imperatives in mind AIMA have decided to organize more such workshops in this year.

OBJECTIVES

The Workshops seek to:

  • Workshop will impart business skills to participating SMEs to enable them to source financing for their companies and provide a live forum & platform for linkages with banks to access funds.

  • Efficient management of funds is guiding principle for growth. The Workshop will provide the skills for management of finances.

  • Workshop will focus on two sector based technologies for upgradation and growth.

  • Bring out imperatives for harnessing technological advancements and information technology.

  • Present tools and strategies for competitive advantages of SMEs.

  • One to one discussion with Bankers, NSIC, Credit Rating Agencies, Technology Experts etc.

One such special Program is being arranged at Pune on 30th October 2010, at Hotel President.  A copy of Brochure is enclosed for your perusal.
