Mr. Walko & Mrs. Williams: May is Mental Health Awareness month. In order to raise awareness for mental health needs, ribbons have been tied around trees on school grounds and will remain tied through the month of May. Faculty will also be wearing ribbons to show their support.
Mental Health Fact of the Week: Treatment works and recovery is possible, but more than one-half of adults and children go without the mental health care they need.
MSG VARSITY BROADCAST: MSG Varsity Broadcast will NOT meet today but will have their final meetings on Tuesday, May 27th, and Tuesday, June 3rd.
JAZZ: Auditions for the 2014 – 2015 Jazz Ensemble will be on June 3rd.
Please see Mr. Holod in room 119 for audition materials.
STUDENT COUNCIL: Class Election packets are available in Mr. Giovinazzi’s office or Mr. Guglieri in room 359. Deadline for all materials is Friday, May 23rd at 2:00pm. Any questions see Mr. Guglieri.
The Class Olympics is coming! Listen for upcoming announcements about how you can be a part of Ketcham history!
Masque and Mime: Any last minute people who plan to attend the end of the year banquet, must get completed banquet forms and money in to Arianna Smith. Anyone still interested in NYC trip, please let Mrs. E. know. It will be June 22.
GSA: GSA will be meeting on Wednesday after school in room 210.
SPORTS PHYSICALS :
The Health Office is now conducting physicals for fall sports. If you wish to play a fall sport, please stop by the nurse's office today to schedule your physical!
Fall sports begin on August 18th. Be sure to stop by the nurse's office to sign up for a physical - today!
GUIDANCE:
Attention Seniors
If you are in the top 10% of the class, plan on majoring in a Science, Technology, Engineering or a Math field, (either Associate or Bachelor's degree) at a SUNY or CUNY college beginning in the Fall of 2014, you may be eligible for a full tuition scholarship. Information is available in the guidance office. Deadline to apply is August 15, 2014.
Attention Sophomores and Juniors:
The Chamber Foundation of the Dutchess County Regional Chamber of Commerce is sponsoring a Youth Leadership Program. This is a 2 year leadership development program designed to develop academic, social and life skills of students through leadership experiences outside the classroom. Applications and information are available in the guidance office. Deadline to apply is June 13, 2014.

The 2014 Yearbook is now sold out! To get on the wait list, please see Ms. Rossetti in the library. The cost is $100.00 cash only!
SENIOR CLASS: SENIOR PROM $85.00 - May 12 – May 23 in cafeteria all lunch periods. If no lunch, Rifenburgh’s room 101 periods 1, 2, and 8th.
ITALIAN NATIONAL HONOR SOCIETY: Italian National Honor Society is hosting its annual soccer tournament May 22nd at 2:00pm. Register in Signora De Sorrento’s room (344) $5.00 per player and 5 players per team. Prizes for winning teams include gift cards to local restaurants like Buffalo Wild Wings. Don’t miss it!

Ricky Lombardo Memorial Baseball Tournament: Ketcham 5, Rye 4; Championship game (at Dutchess Stadium): Beacon 7 Ketcham 3
Baseball regular season is completed with an outstanding record of 17-3. They will find out their sectional seeding and then playoffs.
All lacrosse teams seasons are completed.
Varsity Softball Ketcham 3 White Plains 0. Casey Herzog threw her 7th No Hitter of the season.
The Varsity Softball team ended their regular season with a tremendous record of 13-4. They will be finding out their Sectional Seeding today as well as baseball.
CONTINUING ED: The Driver Ed office is currently accepting registrations for the two Summer Driver Ed sessions. Please go to the Wappingers website and click on the link on the left for Driver Education to get more information, dates and registration forms.
