TODAY 1

 

MR. G’S OFFICE:  Locker clean out will be held TODAY.  Teachers, please plan class textbook collections accordingly.  Students, please be prepared to deal with carrying books and notebooks once lockers are emptied.  Check with classroom teachers to store textbooks.

 

TODAY the Social Studies wing, English wing, Special  Ed/Art wing, 3rd floor Math/Foreign Language, Music classes, Cafeteria and PE (with lockers in these wings only) will have clean out.

 

ALL STUDENTS WITH ELEVATOR KEYS MUST RETURN THE KEY TO MR. GIOVINAZZI’S OFFICE BY THE END OF THE DAY FRIDAY, JUNE 13TH.

 

IF YOU NEED THE ELEVATOR DURING EXAMS, PLEASE SEE MRS. HIGGINS TO MAKE ARRANGEMENTS TO USE THE KEY.

 

REMINDER:  IF YOU LOST THE KEY   THERE IS A $5 CHARGE  

 

YEARBOOK: 

If you ordered a yearbook please pick it up from Mrs. Shand in room 240, periods 1-7.

 

If you would like to buy one, please see Ms. Rossetti in the library.  Cost is $100.00 cash.

 

 AP CHEMISTRY:  For those students who plan to take AP Chemistry next year please see Mrs. Kim in room 357 first period TODAY or Friday of this week to pick up summer assignment materials.

 

AP Biology-

If anyone missed the AP Biology meeting for next year, please see Mrs. Glancey in Room 255 by Friday afternoon!

 

MR. PAMPALONE:  All those taking AP EUROPEAN HISTORY next year see Mr. Pampalone room 102 today.

MR. SEIPP’S OFFICE:  PARKING PERMIT APPLICATIONS FOR NEXT YEARS SENIORS ARE AVAILABLE IN MR. SEIPP'S OFFICE, ROOM 228.

 

THEY WILL BE AVAILABLE THROUGHOUT THE SUMMER AS WELL.

GUIDANCE:  

 

Attention Seniors

 If you are in the top 10% of the class, plan on majoring in a Science, Technology, Engineering or a Math field, (either Associate or Bachelor's degree) at a SUNY or CUNY college beginning in the Fall of 2014, you may be eligible for a full tuition scholarship. Information is available in the guidance office. Deadline to apply is August 15, 2014.

 

If you are a senior and a volunteer firefighter , please come down to guidance to sign up for the New Hackensack Fire Dept. Award.

 

Attention Seniors 

There are several new scholarships posted on the Guidance Web-site. Please take a minute to check them out on-line or in the guidance office.

 

Attention Sophomores and Juniors:

 The Chamber Foundation of the Dutchess County Regional Chamber of Commerce is sponsoring a Youth Leadership Program. This is a 2 year leadership development program designed to develop academic, social and life skills of students through leadership experiences outside the classroom. Applications and information are available in the guidance office. Deadline to apply is June 13, 2014.

 

Attention Juniors:  Anyone taking Syracuse University Forensic Science next year, there will be a meeting TODAY 4th period in the LGI. You will receive information about the course as well as the summer assignment.  Please see Mrs. D’Antono in Room 360 if you cannot attend.

 

MR. LUZZI’S OFFICE:  Would the following students please come down to Mr. Luzzi’s office (room 202) today:

 

Brad Marvin, Austin Hassett, Ashok Vallamattam, Megan Kohl, Olivia Frederick, Sabrina Sura, Lauren Miller, Scott Downing and Jake Keller

 

INTERACT:  Interact will be hosting a district-wide Ultimate Fisbee Tournament on Monday, June 23rd from 3 – 8pm at Greenvale Park in Poughkeepsie.  Stop by room 236 to sign up.

                                    

COACH BUDD:  All track athletes make sure you hand in your track uniforms if you have not already done so.  They can be dropped off in the men's P.E. office.  Any questions see coach Budd or coach Keevins.

 

CONTINUING ED:  The Driver Ed office is currently accepting registrations for the two Summer Driver Ed sessions. Please go to the Wappingers website and click on the link on the left for Driver Education to get more information, dates and registration forms.

 

RCK PTSA:    The PTSA in conjunction with Rosemary Flower Shop on 9D in Wappingers, Falls, is offering an opportunity for families to pre-order flowers for graduation day.  20% of the proceeds will help support our school and programs. View sample photos of arrangements on the RCK PTSA website under Commencement Flowers.  All pre-orders will be available for pick-up at the               Mid Hudson Civic Center the day of Graduation on Saturday, June 28, 2014

Flower arrangements will be available on Graduation Day for CASH & CARRY ONLY.

 

You can help the RCK PTSA earn money without spending any money you wouldn't already be spending. If you're already a Shop-Rite shopper and a Stop and Shop shopper than why not make your regular household purchases using a Shop-Rite and a Stop and Shop gift card instead of using a credit card or cash?  You get to spend the face value of the gift card and the PTSA will earn 5 percent of gift card sold. Gift cards are available in any denomination from $5 to $500.
