SENIORS: Seniors if you are going to the prom you must hand in your white guest forms and purple table forms ASAP.
STUDENT COUNCIL: Congratulations to the Junior class – winners of the Class Olympics on Friday. Pictures of the competition will be on display outside the main office on Wednesday. Thanks to all who came out and participated!
MS SUTTON: 12 AP Literature Summer Reading
All students planning to take the 12 AP Literature course with Ms. Sutton next year, please come to Room 206 on Thursday during 2nd period to receive your summer reading assignment and to sign out the books.
National Honor Society:
Senior members of the National Honor Society will meet today for a brief meeting in Room 206. Junior members of the National Honor Society will meet today in Room 201 to sign up for summer opportunities and for those participating in the Asian Dragon Boat Festival on July 5 to receive training for the event.
MASQUE AND MIME: Money for trip due by Wednesday. See Mrs. E.; information meeting on Thursday regarding auditions for fall show. Great job to all who worked on the banquet.
HEALTH OFFICE: If you are scheduled for a physical on June 4th or June 12th please come down to be screened.
GSA: GSA will meet Wednesday after school in room 210.
YEARBOOK: Anyone who ordered a yearbook (including the wait list) should pick it up in room 240 periods 1 – 7.
GUIDANCE:
Attention Seniors
If you are in the top 10% of the class, plan on majoring in a Science, Technology, Engineering or a Math field, (either Associate or Bachelor's degree) at a SUNY or CUNY college beginning in the Fall of 2014, you may be eligible for a full tuition scholarship. Information is available in the guidance office. Deadline to apply is August 15, 2014.
Attention Sophomores and Juniors:
The Chamber Foundation of the Dutchess County Regional Chamber of Commerce is sponsoring a Youth Leadership Program. This is a 2 year leadership development program designed to develop academic, social and life skills of students through leadership experiences outside the classroom. Applications and information are available in the guidance office. Deadline to apply is June 13, 2014.
Attention Seniors
There are several new scholarships posted on the Guidance Web-site. Please take a minute to check them out on-line or in the guidance office.
SPORTS: The Ketcham Baseball Program wants to thank all of the students and staff who came out to support our boys at Saturday's championship game. Your support was awesome and provided a spark we will never forget. Hope to see everyone at Arlington on Friday at 4pm.
The Softball team lost to John Jay in the Section Championship game on Saturday morning. Congratulations on a great season girls. We are very proud of you.
The baseball team won the section championship on Saturday evening. Congratulations. They will be playing at Arlington on Friday afternoon at 4:00pm vs. Elmira HS in the Regional Semi's. WHEN they win they will be playing at Arlington on Saturday for the Regional Championship. Then onto the State final four which will be the following Saturday, June 14th, at Maine Endwell HS.
CONTINUING ED: The Driver Ed office is currently accepting registrations for the two Summer Driver Ed sessions. Please go to the Wappingers website and click on the link on the left for Driver Education to get more information, dates and registration forms.
RCK PTSA: The PTSA in conjunction with Rosemary Flower Shop on 9D in Wappingers, Falls, is offering an opportunity for families to pre-order flowers for graduation day. 20% of the proceeds will help support our school and programs. All pre-orders will be available for pick-up at the Mid Hudson Civic Center the day of Graduation on Saturday, June 28, 2014
