Dear all,

I just "ran SWAT" (Step 3) in R-SWAT and wanted to add the observed data in Step 4. Although I select all 5 necessary observed data files, the error "Error: Number of observed files should be: 5" persists. I would appreciate any help!

Thanks!Screenshot 2022-11-03 at 19.01.07.png

Hi, if you calibrated for streamflow at the catchment outlet, you just need a single file and in step 3. Run SWAT => Table 1. Define model outputs for extraction, you should delete unnecessary rows in this table

Hey,

thank you for that feedback. I only selected one model output in 3.1 but that apparently corresponds to 5 variables (see screenshot).

Could it be anything else? Cause I cannot delete the variables in the table.

Thanks!

Hi,  actually you selected 5 outputs (variables) as shown in the figure that you shared. In case you select one output (variable) the "column" column should contains only a single number and also the "Reach" column should also contains only a single number

Hey, you were right, I could adjust to just one column and one "reach".
Although the error message now says "Error: Number of observed files should be: 1" I can still not select that file. Or at least selecting it, does not make a difference.

The format of the observed file is just as the example file and as the "help" description in R-SWAT.
When I tick the "display observed data" box, it also still says Error: subscript out of bounds.

Do you have any more ideas?
Thanks!

Hi, you run RSWAT on iOS right. I am not working with iOS, we can meet online to solve this issue.

Hi, I encounter the same problem. And I have attached the screenshot.
I have three outlets to calibrate and but It said that the files may contain embedded nulls. What should i do?
Looking forward to hearing from you.

Thanks

I am running into the same problem.
The error for loading the observed files read "subscript out of bounds"
What am I missing?
Thanks
Eddie

I could check it if you share with me the RSWATproject.rds  and observed data file

Hi Tam
Attached are the files requested.
I want to conduct a multi-gauge calibration of my SWAT+ model. But for now I am just looking at figuring out RSWAT.
Your help would be greatly appreciated.
Kind regards
Eddie

Hi Eddie, with these files I cannot see where the problem is. Could you unzip the whole project (including TxtInOut file and share with me in a private message)?
