Dear all,

I am facing the issue of getting a different result in SWAT+ Editor than the one I got in R-SWAT, although I am using the same parameters.

I ran an automatic calibration in RSWAT for a catchment, then I added the same parameters from the best simulation to the hard calibration records in SWAT+ Editor. However, when looking at the results of the two tools, I found them totally different. Moreover, the R-SWAT tool generates zero flow during the dry season (baseflow = zero), despite how I change the aquifer parameters.

Software Versions:
SWAT+ Editor 2.3.1
QSWAT+ 2.4.0
RSWAT 3.0

Hi,

there shouldn't be such big differences between running SWAT+ with SWAT+Editor and R-SWAT.

Be SURE that you used the same executable SWAT+ version and debug or release mode.

You could test it manually by doing the following:
Check the calibration.cal from the TxtInOut folder of R-SWAT and SWAT+Editor if they are the same
copy the same SWAT+ executable to the TxtInOut folder of R-SWAT and SWAT+ and run it manually => then check the output if they are identical

Just let me know if you get the same simulated result this time

Hi Tam,

I checked the calibration.cal parameters in the two folders and found that the files were the same. However, the problem was indeed in the executable file. I realised that I was using a different version than the one in SWAT+ Editor. Now, I am getting the same "not good" results as the Editor.

Thanks Tam :)
