Hi all,

I am facing an issue in the simulation process in R-SWAT. I have two models, one with a lake and another without. When I import the project without a lake, the calibration tool works perfectly. However, when adding the one that contains the lake, the tool stuck without giving an error message.

I checked the parameter ranges, the output files, the print file, and the file.cio, and all were as they should be, I think.

Could you please help me figure out what could be the reason for this and what I can do?

I have noticed that the channel_sd_mon and channel_sd_day files created by R-SWAT are empty, although it is "y" next to the channel_sd row in the print file.

If the simulation is stuck (running for infinte amount of time) then it means that SWAT/or SWAT+ does not run with your txtinout files => one issue could be your parameters range is out of the range defined by SWAT+ it SWAT+ just does not run in this case - without giving any warning message to the screen. Because SWAT+ does not run, so the channel_sd_mon and channel_sd_day files are empty (they haven't been created by SWAT+)

Hi Tam,

Thank you for your response.
Unfortunately, this is not my case. I checked the parameter ranges and made sure that they were within the acceptable range. Moreover, they worked well with my other TxtInOut folder.
It would be great if you checked out the project file here.

Sorry I cannot run your program. Here I just use SWAT+ but the simulation stucks at the first time step (this has nothing to do with R-SWAT). I have no clue why, might be you can ask someone from the SWAT+ group

Thank you Tam for your support. I will try to figure it out.

Good day,

Did you finally figure it out?

could be because the parameters are out of physical bounds

Good day,

I managed to run the model. I had to set it from scratch because I was running a simulation that I had previously calibrated, so I guess it affected the physical bounds.

Thank you.

Good day,

I am still facing the same issue... When I run a single simulation, I notice that the simulation problem starts on January 9, 1995. I am not sure what I am doing wrong or missing, please help.

What could be the issue? Is it my model set-up or my input data?

it could be paramters generated by RSWAT is out of physical ranges. SWAT+ will not report anything (also it does not stop). So try to run SWAT+ directly in the TxtInOut folder generated by RSWAT to check if this is the issue => then if this is the case, try to modify the parameter ranges in RSWAT
