Hello folks,
Three weeks in and I've done 29 comics in 27 days (& two extra in
Cambodian). That's what, 336 to go? Piece of cake.
(Suck on that, professional webcartoonists. Three days a week,
five days a week?
QuickDraw provides *Daily*. Today's is 'Sputnik Moment'.http://

The most popular comics so far seem to be the ones on the
Astrology/Astronomy silliness

and the recent Blogspot 'Outage'.

I'm enjoying myself all too much, to the point where I'm putting a
lot more effort in than I expected. I guess I always did enjoy
shooting my fool mouth off. If anything, I'm GAINING energy, and
sparing more time for drawing.
I can't however guarantee perfection, and that's in the eye of
the beholder anyway. Some days it will be a scribble, other times a
fully realized color essay. I do have a full-time job and plenty of
commitments. But then, QuickDraw has always existed between the
margins of many real and imagined boundaries.
You'll be seeing more e-comics as we go and I figure out what
format works best for this medium. (

) I also welcome suggestions for topics from our teensy community of
readers. A lot seem to be spiraling in via FaceBook and Twitter.
http://twitter.com/john_weeks/quickdraw-aficionados (It's interesting,
most readers seem to be non-webcomics readers. Some even non-comics
readers.)
Want to share the comics goodness? Feel free to retweet, repost
and generally share the comics, they are 'Creative Commons' licensed.
Don't hesitate to click on the sidebar links for WebComics ranking and
reviewing sites, I'm not sure how much stock to put in them, but I'll
give it a go.
One of the things that will definitely keep me scribbling:
feedback. Agree/disagree with me? Think the comic is a load of cr&p?
You are welcome to say so in the comments. (No one works in a
vacuum.)
Off to India for a comics consultancy next week. It'll be
interesting to upload from the road, and I've pre-emptively sorted
some backup strips to ensure we supply your daily dose.
Stay 'tooned
- John
