Mass email tool options?

All--
I'm researching mass email options and looking for your input.
Up to this point, we're totally a cost-free operation (other than url registration and server costs, which the Sifry boys are eating for now). But we need a mass email tool to start communicating more directly to the list, which is now at about 15,500. Here are some options:
Mailchimp:
Pay per email would be $250 for 25,000; $500 for 50,000.
Constant Contact:
$150/month for up to 25,000
Other suggestions? I've used both of these tools and MailChimp is definitely better for list diversification and testing, tracking, etc. But more expensive.
