Hey Folks

As of recently we have:

3,355 petition-signers.
282 Twitter followers.
447 Facebook fans.

All are still growing at a steady clip and should continue to do so through the evening hours while we enjoy some coverage on the evening news programs. (keep in mind, the massive traffic this morning prevented large numbers from signing on, so a continued push and reinforcing the fact that everything is up and running now is still very helpful.)

One thing we are lacking right now is activity on the DISCUSSION section of the Facebook page. If people on this list are willing to lend their names to a public discussion thread, we'll be able to engage more of our supporters in a sustained dialogue. Building activity on that level on Day 1 will be helpful down the line when we have more issues enter the public debate. Generally speaking this will allow the Facebook page to be a destination for meaningul exchange (and more people consuming the links and news that we provide).

I think we'll greatly benefit if several folks on the list would be willing to pick a discussion topic and start a thread.

We'll be adding a Facebook badge to the petition page later tonight that will hopefully drive more petition-signers to that page.
