CNN has said it's interested in booking me and McKinnon for Fri AM to discuss the summit in relation to QT. So there are folks in the media makingthis connection. I'm trying to push some folks at MSNBC to do the same. And Pinkerton and I did this when we shot a bloggingheads.tv diavlog yesterday.

Great news.

It's very important to our effort that Demand Question Time is closely linked to the Healthcare event tomorrow. Not necessarily in support or opposition--just as THE relevant voice in the debate. David and Mark's media appearance definitely solidifies that connection, but we all need to reinforce it through our online social networks.  So, please make sure you're linking to the petition site/Facebook page and using #QuestionTime and @DemandQTime when you are posting/Tweeting about the Healthcare event.

Needless to say, I think another media bump tomorrow is a good opportunity to put forth the great progress that "Demand Question Time" has made since our last media cycle in the spotlight:

:1: Just short of 20,000 Petition Signers, including new high-profile signers. Over 2,000 Facebook Fans. 674 Twitter followers.
:2: Have added 2 key features to the petition site. A blog to increase community exchange. A media page as a service to our supporters.
:3: We've developed the ability to communicate to petition-signers via email.
:4: Conducted a survey with very interested results. Most importantly--a strong desire to actively participate.

Speaking of the new features, I think tomorrow's event deserves a fresh blog post on the petition site. Which, along with the media hits, offers us all a fresh opportunity to push very hard through our social networks.

That's just my take. Would be delighted to hear other ideas about how we can maximize tomorrow's coverage!

Thanks,
M.
