Questions on Armor and the like

Hi,
I have a few questions, if someone wouldn't mind indulging me... On
the DVDs, An shu is seen putting on hand and forearm armor. Is this
Kote? What makes this different from the same sort of armor used in
Kendo, which encompasses the entire hand or from Samurai armor that
appears to do the same?

Does the Ninja-To have a place in history or is it just a
Hollywood-isation that makes good sense for movies and sword sales...?

One interpretation of our uniform history comes from the Kabuki
Theatre tradition. Is there a time when the head is wrapped also in
traditional or modern training. Are there any resources that could be
used to demonstrate how this wrapping worked?
