The following information/action items from Sunday's Gulf Coast TIDE action meeting is being sent to the membership for your review and assistance:

World AIDS Day - This event is being held at the Belmont Arts & Cultural Center (401 N. Reus Street - Inside the Window Factory on the corner of Belmont and Devilliers - take Reus Street north a few blocks from Garden Street) on December 1.  There will be a viewing of the AIDS quilt panels inside the center from 12 noon to 8 pm with a music and rememberance service at 6 PM.  TIDE has been requested to have an information booth inside the center for all or part of the time.  If you are willing to help staff this booth from any period between 12-8, or if you are willing to help read the names of people who have perished during the rememberance service, please contact Steve Gillette (segil...@aol.com).

Appetite for Life - This non-profit organization provides meals for HIV affected individuals and seniors.  Volunteers are needed to help package meals and/or deliver meals.  This involves an ongoing 2-3 hour commitment one work day morning per week.  If you are interested in volunteering please contact Kathy Buckland at Appetite for Life, 470-9111 or kbuc...@appetite4life.org

Gulf Coat TIDE Board Membership - All members interested in a leadership position in TIDE are encouraged to run for the board of directors.  There are 7 positions on the board, all of which run for 1- year terms and are elected annually.  Nominations will be announced in the December meeting and elections will be held at the January meeting.  If you are interested in a board position please contact any of the current board members: Jon Durre (jond...@cox.net), Sara McCool (smc...@cox.net), JessAnn Hastings (redn...@yahoo.com), Kurt Chaney (KurtC...@aol.com), Rev. Day of Rememberance - Services for a day to remember Transgendered victims of violence will be held on Sunday, November 20,  at 7:00, at a location TBD.  Volunteers are needed, contact Arica King (awaken...@hotmail.com) .

Come Out Pensacola! 2006 - Many more committee chairs and volunteers are needed.  Come to the December 4 meeting and get involved/sign up.
