Various segments of the Landen CSA trail network are currently being resurfaced and the short gravel sector running on both sides of the Simpson Headwaters Project is now open.
Within the renovated Landen-Deerfield MTB trail system (a work still in progress) we will integrate those trails into the Greater Deerfield XCP Network whenever those trails are dry.
Seeing that the Deerfield XCP Network consist of Paved, Gravel and Dirt surfaces, tire choice will be critical with XC Semi Slick or Hard Pack Gravel tires being the weapon of choice.
I've been getting inquires concerning the inclusion of Electric Power Assist MTB and Gravel bikes on the Deerfield XCP rides and the answer is Yes. (More on this below)
The Deerfield XCP Short Course (Acoustic Bike) track record is currently held by Kurt Lentz who rides a Resto-Modded 1996 full-rigid Stumpjumper.
I'm currently working on a project parallel to Deerfield XCP which involves the ZOOZ 750 watt Class 2 pedal assist bike which will be ridden on Mason Ohio's extensive Greenway Network (60 plus miles). This will become the "SuperMoto" version of Deerfield XCP and will be of keen interest to older riders who have aged out of competitive MTB riding.
Thanks for your interest and hope to see some of you this Fall.
