Hi,

I just did try to install 0.9.0beta and migrate an old site to it. I mentioned
most of my experience in the IRC channel before when I tried the last time but
it might be better to document it here.

- Installing with Apache and fastCGI / CGI works pretty well.
- The documentation has improved but installing 0.9.0beta is still too complex.
- I can create pages, edit stuff and so on.

- Migration of old data fails:

Following the instructions in the documentation I did this:
a) Install and set up Pylucid according to the instructions here:
http://pylucid.org/en/documentation/install-PyLucid/v0-9-testing/apache-fastcgi/

b) The I started migration according to this document:
http://pylucid.org/en/documentation/install-PyLucid/v0-9-testing/migrate/
1. Copied the old sqlite database file in place.
2. Ran ./manage.sh syncdb
3. Logged in using the web interface.
4. Try to execute the first migration step "# migrate v0.8 styles, templates,
JS-SHA-Login data"
5. Wait some time and admire a 500 error message and some error dialogs about
missing *.js files.

In the Apache Error log I see failing requests like this:
"GET /admin/update/update08migrate_stj/superfish/pylucid_superfish.css HTTP/1.1"

When I use the admin interface the html source shows that the files get accessed
correctly before:
"GET /media/PyLucid/superfish/pylucid_superfish.js HTTP/1.1"

The same happens for any migration related task such as importing a single style
file or old css.

I have some hope this information might be useful :-)

Greetings

Florian
