pyinstaller on cron job error: Cannot open PyInstaller archive from executable

Hi, I am trying to run a cron job on a Unix executable and I receive the following error:

"Cannot open PyInstaller archive from executable or external archive"

I am using mac with M1 chip on Monterey version 12.3.1, Pyhon 3.10.3, pyinstaller 5.1 and I made sure permissions can be run by everyone for the executable. The executable was initially created in a "dist" folder within my python project and it executes by clicking on the executable and the executable can be run from terminal command. Any help on the pyinstaller issue?
