Artist's Description
If dedication and hard work are the backbone that most successful bands
are built on, then Midpoint's foundation is sound. From their humble
beginnings five years ago, to the release of their latest record
"Shutup, That's Why", Midpoint has built a bulletproof work ethic
and a solid following of fans.
With their inception as a three piece group, Shand, Tyler, and Marek
left their homes in rural Alberta for Calgary in 1998. After meeting
Colin, the foursome soon started jamming and formulating their sound.
Their initial rehearsals went surprisingly well, and the band was soon
playing weekly shows in venues across Alberta. Moving quickly through
the motions of being a young, inexperienced band, the newly dubbed
"Midpoint" was drawing lots of attention in the Calgary scene.
