Dear friends,
It's been a while since this google group was active; it's possible
that no one's reading these messages anymore! But I wanted to reach
out just in case any of you are still there; I have such good memories
of our one Progressive Faith Blog Con, and I value the connections we
made there.
I wanted to let y'all know that a new book of poems which arise out of
conversation with scripture has just been published. The book is
called 70 Faces, it's by me (Rachel Barenblat -- newly-ordained a
rabbi!), and it's published by Phoenicia Publishing, an independent
press in Montreal. You can read all about it (and read a sample, and
listen to some of the poems read aloud, and check out reviews) here:

I think this could be a really useful resource for liberal people of
faith. These poems are written in loving relationship with scripture,
but they don't shy away from the tough subjects or the texts which may
challenge liberal folks of faith. I think y'all might enjoy the book,
and I hope you might enjoy it enough to use it in your Bible studies
or Torah study groups and/or to share it with your communities!
Anyway -- thanks for considering this; I hope you'll be moved to pick
up a copy, and if you like it, to help spread the word.

It's really too bad the Progressive Faith Con didn't continue. I really, really wanted to go. And still want to see another come together.
