* Company update window has been revised with a task panel and the
scrolling tabs removed to make navigation more direct and more
obvious. The window is now resizable as well.
* Custom data collection support has been expanded with two forms
of custom data entry for dealers as well as custom fields for contacts
and for addresses.
o Licensed User defined prompts allow you to add fields and
check boxes to the dealer, address, and contact update windows.
ProENTRY IV enforces required data entry when specified. These custom
fields are of a predefined number but the associated data are a part
of the respective database record. this makes queries and custom
reports using this data quite easy. Licensed User defined prompts are
maintained in the Licensed User update window's More page.
o Custom prompts are related to companies and may be defined
for dealers, sales reps, vendors, and freight carriers. An unlimited
number of custom prompts may defined. Custom Prompts are maintained in
the Licensed User update window's More page.
Actual data entry may be limited to numeric, string, date
and time, or predefined formats such as phone numbers. ProENTRY IV
enforces required data entry when specified.
* Email support has been fully implemented for standard reports
and is provided through the attachment of .pdf files. Outgoing email
server configuration is available in the Licensed User update window.
A new email browse window displays sent messages and allows the
operator to compose and send new email messages. It must be pointed
out that, at this time, ProENTRY IV is an outgoing email client and
does not receive inbound messages. Therefore, it may be beneficial to
send copies of message composed manually in ProENTRY IV to the
operator's regular email account.
* The Tax Account window now supports an alternate account type,
Surcharges. Use surcharges for non-tax charges such as fuel and energy
charges which are not reported to a government agency.
* The Contact record now includes a Primary Contact check box.
Each account may have one and only one Primary Contact. The Primary
Contact will always be displayed first in the contacts list and will
be identified by a unique icon.
* The Contact record now supports user-defined Contact Types. You
may define any number of Contact Types. These are intended for
classification of contacts for purposes such as managing mailings. The
Contact Type is displayed in key ProENTRY IV lists and windows.

page.
* Design software used by your dealers may now be associated with
each dealer. Design software are maintained in the Licensed User
update window's More page.
* ProENTRY IV's data import facility has been enhanced to support
the new Licensed User Prompts, Custom Prompts, Contact Types, Primary
Contact, Design Software, and Surcharges.
Additional control of imported data has been added.
* Report output control has been simplified and enhanced to make
configuration easier while providing more control.
Reports may now be redirected for individual clients. In
addition to the ability to specify a different such as Fax or Email
for a particular client, you may also add any number of additional
targets such as faxing, printing, or emailing to specific individuals.
* A utility has been added to facilitate the export of existing
ProENTRY 3 data to ProENTRY IV compatible .xml files. This utility
allows for mapping many ProENTRY 3 fields to specific target tables
and columns in ProENTRY IV.
Functions are provided to clean your data prior to exporting. In
addition to capitalization, numerous other corrections are performed
to help assure consistent and professional data presentation and
reporting in ProENTRY IV.
The utility also provides basic browse windows to permit review
of data before export.
Known issues
* The custom window frame rendering fails to display some windows
properly. If this interferes with your use of ProENTRY IV, simply
disable the custom window frames for now.

* The door style pricing model has been further expanded:
o It is now possible to associate door style prices with
price columns
o Using the existing model which associates door style
prices with finish colors, it is now possible to associate prices with
both finish materials and finish colors. This option also allows for
automatic selection of the price column in Spec-Groups. the licensed
user must specify that the price column selection is associated with
the finish material or finish color.
* Improved detection of database configuration changes after
program upgrades and improved automatic database reformatting.
* Improved handling of Licensed User configuration errors in the
Company Update window.
* Faster loading and improved memory utilization due to
rebased .dll files.
* Improved methodology employed for numbering sequenced database
records.
* Installer now detects existing demo installations when upgrading
and does not overwrite the configuration or offer the option to
install the database engine.
