Hi All
You may have heard already but its true Pressure Radio after 22 years is coming to an end well at least the live radio aspect.
I started Pressure Radio
after a divorce (one of the reasons it’s called “Pressure”) I had to rebuild my life make new friends and get back to my old love of music. It was pioneering back then, only a geek could get it all to work
We had a great run but after many years it was very evident that I have lost interest I let the guys basically run it themselves last couple of years but it didn’t get the love it deserved.
I have therefore decided to call it a day and informed our amazing DJ team. I did chat to Andy Ward about taking over Pressure but on reflection it was “my baby” and it would have felt too strange. So I will keep the website as an archive and will have links to the combined podcast etc. and I may change to make it a full archive at some point.
Thank you to those who sent me lovely messages saying how they have loved over the years the great times the friendships and of course the birth of the Vocal Booth Weekender which began as a conversation on Pressure.
We are leaving the live stream up until NEW YEARS DAY as some DJ’s will be putting on some special farewell shows and pay homage to what was.
Andy Ward is starting VocalBooth Radio so many of the DJ’s may have a home there and that will also no doubt spark a new interest for many in the community to get back to that love of Live radio.
Thank you to all those who enjoyed pressure of the years the many people who I met in the chat room in person and many become life long friends. I also got to talk to may top artists.
Its been emotional .
Gone but hopefully not forgotten
