Reliable sources in both Samaa TV and DawnNews TV confirmed that Iftikhar Shirazi, Islamabad Bureau Chief of SAMAA TV along with his blue-eyed reporters team has joined DawnNews TV to replace Mubashir Zaidi, Matiullah Jan and gang.
The source working in Samaa TV further informed that Shirazi held a secret meeting with his blue-eyed reporters recently at McDonalds in Islamabad. The meeting was attended by Sanaullah, Ali Akbar, Shakil Qarar, Fahad Chaudhry, Zakia, Hasnain Raza, Sohail Iqbal Bhatti, Arshad Hussain and Fouzia Awan.
"Following the meeting, all of them, except Fouzia Awan signed contracts with DawnNews. The contracts were secretly sent to them by Zahid Mazhar (current Director News of DawnNews TV) who is also old friend and former colleague of Shirazi. Interestingly, Shirazi the ring leader, has been given less salary than he was getting in SAMAA, while everyone else has been given raise of 10 to 15 thousand Rupees." The source informed.
