Another tribal journalist targeted.

It is to share with all the journalist community. that our young brave journalist Mr AbdUllah Nangyal Mehsud(working for (BENAWA AFGHAN NEWS AGENCY AND INP) got serious injuries in a murder attack on him by the motor cyclists. The attacker fired at least eight bullets from his pistol. while Nangyal was struggling to snatch the pistol from him. But the attacker kept continue the firing. At least three bullets hit Mr Nangyal's right leg. After the incident he was rushed to the nearby hospital. Though he is in a stable condition but we are too much worried about the condition of practical journalism in the state.
The Tribal Union Of Journalists central cabinet met the interior minister Rahman Malik in Islamabad and discussed Mr. Nangyal's incident. He assured the safety of journalists. But the TUJ president Mr. Safdar Dawar, Snr Vice President WaheedUllah Afridi(self) and Vice President AnwarUllah Khan, met Nangyal and assured him every possible assistance.
All the tribal journalists are condemning the murder attempt of the tribal journalist at Rawal pindin on 12th of this month. It is very shameful that tribal journalists are targetted even in settle areas.

We are demanding for a free media environment.

it is really a shamful act but i do wonder why the case is not invesigated so as to know the real hands behind the attack on abdullah. more over,when the cabinet met the interior minister, what did they take for the tribal journalists? waheed can u tell the details of your meeting with the Rehman malik?
