ARY London Under Investigation for Employing illegal Worker

Immigration Enforcement Team, Borough of Brent, London, has initiated criminal investigation against Pakistani TV Channel ARY UK, 65 North Acton Road, NW10 6PJ, over that allegations relating provision of full time employment to a Pakistani illegal worker.

  

 

According to the sources at the UK Border Agency Intelligence Unit, Eton House, Saqib Ahmed Raja, a Pakistani National Asylum Seeker, travelled to the UK in early 2011, and joined ARY London as a News reporter "without complying with any kind of immigration formalities whatsoever". 

 

 

 "Raja has not been issued with an ARC card under Rule 360 of the relevant Employment Law, and therefore, is not permitted to engage in any kind of professional activity, paid or unpaid", the immigration sources said. 

 

 

It is learnt that the Intelligence Unit used U-Tube footage, business mobile phone in use of the accused, and the evidence presented by British Media regulatory authority Ofcom as the basis for initiation of this inquiry.  In the U-Tube clip dated March 2011,  Raja  holds ARY microphone while reporting from a venue in London.

Under UK Employment and Immigration Laws,  Unless an employer checks that all prospective employees have the right to work in the UK, it risks breaking the law and could receive a substantial fine amounting upto £10000.

 

A parallel inquiry  was commenced by the National Child Protection Agency in the Area of Ealing London.NSPCC Reference: 10029859.

 

 

"Saqib Ahmed Raja has a nine year old son Musa Saqib who travelled with him to the UK in March 2011.  The boy does not go to school. He suffers from malnutrition and lives in extremely unhygienic conditions." NSPCC

sources informed.

 

The Metropolitan Police from Child Safety Unit raided the ARY building situated in the North Western Area of London in search for Raja Saqib. 

 

"Childrens Service is in the process of carrying out an assessment of the situation." Sources from NSPCC informed.

saqib raja is a good crime reporter and he has not threat in pakistan and he lodged FIR for seeking asylum in UK.this is very sad people are damaging their motherland for their ulterior motives and people like tariq ch are helping these characterless reporters. anyway journalists who are involved in human smuggling must be exposed and tariq ch is also in a way part of this game by supporting a person for seeking asylum without caring the interest of their motherland
