Newspapaers Owners & Proprietor Again Elected in Abbottabad Press Club

Abbottabad Press Club & Union of Journalists elections were stayed in
the court. on 22 May Court remove ban from election. On 24th May
Elections was conducted. In which following Newspapaers Owners &
Proprietor Again Elected as office bearers:

Mir Muhammad Aiwan; Resident Editor, Daily Aaj Abbottabad as President
of APC
Sardar Naveed Alam; Chief Executive, (Partner) Daily Sarhad News
Abbottabad & Daily Foot Hill Abbottabad, Daily Sarhad News Karachi as
General Secretary APC

Shahid Chauhdary;Resident Editor, Daily Mahasab Abbottabad (Editor
with Powers of Hire anad Fire)Manager Daily Mahasab Gilgit elected as
President of Union of Journalists
Sardar Mohammad Shafiq Managing Editor Daily Itthad elected as General
Secretary Abbottabad Union of Journalists.

District & Session Judge Issued Stay order on Election on 24 May, but
election was conducted. Today Contempt of Court Application will be
file against above office bearers & Election Commission.

I regret to say That the Scrutiny Committee has played one sided game
with AUJ as they have entertained Resident Editors,Chief
Executives,Managing Editors,News agents,APC executives,&
Proprietors,rather then Pure Working Journalists.

President PFUJ an honorable personality has taken the prompt action &
given the responsibility to the Scrutiny Committee to resolve the AUJ
issue According to the PFUJs Constitution

But I cant understand the logic behind and i am very much astonished
and shocked when I saw the decision letter forwarded by PFUJ to AUJ
members depicting & supporting about 70 to 80% above said ILLEGAL
MEMBERSHIP of Editors profile members.

Its an alarming situation for PFUJ,that such wrong decisions which are
totally against the constitution will definitely damage the image,
faith and dignity and may effect the survival PFUJ(Br).

We are facing about five different cases in civil & session courts
against these editor profile members in Abbottabad as they are
illegally occupying Press clubs & UJs.,snubbing the LEGAL RIGHTS of a
TRUE WORKING JOURNALISTS.

So I APPEAL to the President PFUJ.MR.PREVEZ SHUKAT to please look in
to the matter seriously again,and take the appropriate & immediate
action with his full personal interest,using his ultimate powers to
resolve the AUJ's CLASHES in the positive manner implementing the
PFUJ's CONSTITUTION.

You can challenge this decision (if true) to the FEC and than the last forum will be BDM. PFUJ Constitution is very clear on the question of membership and there is not ambiguity. If what you were saying is true, i will be surprise. Mazhar
