Hi all,

I have a sequence for which I could not find a suitable template to model. Is there any other method to generate
a 3D structure ? i Submitted to 3D-PSSM but could not get an appropriate template. so can anyone tell me how to find a suitable template?

regards
priya

Try I-TASSER

I-TASSER is one of the most accurate predictior, but I think it would
be worth to run it on as many fold recognition methods as possible
(hhsearch, ffas, phyre - you should use it instead of 3d-pssm, because
phyre is successor to 3d-pssm). This can be done easily using so called
metapredictors. From my own perspective I can recommend Genesilico
metaserver https://genesilico.pl/meta2/ (one submission will send
sequence to dozens of bioinformatics tools (secondary structure,
transmembrane helices, solvent accessiblitty, fold recognition etc.) and
it give you results in unified, easy readable form).

Doing that you have much bigger chance to detect suitable template even
for really hard targets (remote homology).
