bit, followed by lots of rain that washed it away - but it seems winter is
arriving.
This coming weekend (11/26-28) we have a ministry team coming to distribute
Scripture Calendars. Seven youth (Italian and Swiss) and their leader will
be here from Friday lunch through Sunday lunch. We hope to distribute 2,000
calendars during that time, much of them in the town of Pieve Vergonte where
our church is currently meeting. The calendars will contain an insert with
our contact information, service times and a brief presentation of the
Gospel.
Please pray that we would have good weather, that the calendars would find
receptive hearts and that they would be used. Pray also for opportunities
to speak with folks that we meet along the way.
Some of you may recall me talking a few years ago about the town potentially
giving us as a church a piece of land to build on. The possible offer has
been brought up again to Davide (who is well connected with the town
leadership). A piece of land has been designated for "religious" use by
Domodossola. It was suggested to Davide that he write a letter requesting
that we be given the land. It actually would be a 99 year, no cost lease.
Davide will be writing the letter this week. Please pray for wisdom for
Davide as he writes the letter and that the Lord would guide and provide for
this possibility. I will write more about this in coming days in our web
site, but it is a very encouraging development.
