[PRARAMBH] : Weekly update 23th and 24th October, 2010

Hi, 

Overwhelming feelings  don't come with hundreds o people, a couple of kids are more than enough to get you that joy and peace. Thats what we believe at Prarambh.

Struggling with the absence of volunteers, doesn't stop us from what we aspire to achieve for them.

This weekend was one such when we didn't have volunteers turning up ( which we have been facing since last few weeks ) .

[Saturday]  

Ashish our volunteer sat with Ram Kumar and Shankar to have some chitchat about how  their studies are going on. Ram Kumar who wasn't going to school since last 2 years has joined a Hindi medium school this year and very excited to learn new things daily. I could see the happiness in his eyes. Later the session was followed by a cartoon series on Ganpati which both the kids enjoyed a lot.

[Sunday]

We had more students coming up along with Ram Kumar. Kajal, Pooja and Shweta turned up but with no mood to study as a result of the exam and diwali season going on :) . They shared with Ashish how diwali is celebrated in Maharashtra and how did they celebrate the Bhondla festival in their school. Later on the conversation took over their visit they want us to plan. With an assurance of a outdoor trip we called it off for the day with the best wishes for Diwali.
