Weekly Updates: Oct 03rd & 04th, 2009

[Prarambh]

Hi All,
As last weekend was a long weekend so most of the volunteers took a
break.
Prarambh classes were not conducted on Saturday.
Below are the activities performed by different volunteers on Sunday.


Sunday: Oct 04, 2009
[LEVEL 2]
• [Ankita]:
[Mangesh, Sonali, Dhananjaya and Mangesh C]: I dictated them 3
lettered words to take test of sounds. Then I taught them sounds of SH
and CH (I think we called them Blends if I remember correctly from
what Ashish told) and dictated them few 4-lettered words with its
sound.

[LEVEL 3]
• [Ramya]:
[Sangeeta, Mamta, Sumitra, Madhuri, Shweta and Nikita]: I taught them
Shapes. I made them understand the word formation (tri-, recta-,
penta-, hexa-). And also the difference between a square and
rectangle, a circle and sphere. They got the words and their spellings
right. They learnt them against their image, which they drew on their
note and their Marathi equivalent word that they referred from a book.
I finally took a test on their learning. All did fairly well. Mamta
and Madhuri did remarkably well.
[Prateeksha]: She joined a bit late, so I just revised on what she
learnt in the previous class. She read me out a passage she had
written in her note.
[LEVEL 4]
• [Ankita]:
[Pooja, Aishwarya, Anita, Kajal, Rahil and Ganesh (L3)]: They told me
that they had learnt antonyms in last class so I took a test of them
and taught them some more.
