Weekly Updates: 28 & 29th Nov

[Prarambh]

Hi All,
Last weekend was full of fun and joy.
We had a new volunteer joining Prarambh.


Below are the activities performed by different volunteers, last
weekend.

Saturday: Nov 28, 2009
On Saturday we had a Handwriting competition as well as a Memory game.
Most the kids did well in the Handwriting competition. At the end we
picked the neatest Handwriting with the minimum spelling mistakes as
the winner. The Memory game had the kids racking their brains and we
finally had a clear winner, who could remember 26 items.


Sunday: Nov 29, 2009
[LEVEL 2]
[Dev]:
[Mangesh, Kamlesh, Aniket]: I gave them a kind of quiz paper with
sums, subtractions, multiplications, series and spellings.
[Ramya]:
[Amit, Azim]: We had a magazine for reference and I made them point
out all the pictures of animals in there. They knew their names in
Marathi and Hindi. I told them their English equivalents. They noted
down the name and pronunciation for each.
[LEVEL 3]
[Ramya]:
[Azhar, Nilesh]: We had a magazine for reference and I made them point
out all the pictures of animals in there. They knew their names in
Marathi and Hindi. I told them their English equivalents. They noted
down the name and pronunciation for each
[LEVEL 4]
[Ramya]:
[Rahil]: We had a magazine for reference and I made him point out all
the pictures of animals in there. He knew the names of most of them in
English. We discussed names of some other animals too. I helped him
with their spellings.

[Kranti]:
[Aishwarya, Kajal, Diksha, Anita]: I revised the “W” questions with
the girls. I asked them to write questions starting with Where, Who,
What, When and Why. Once they had framed the questions I asked to
write down the Answers to those questions. Later they split up a few
big words into smaller ones.
