Hi TMers,
We need help with our next 2 hub meetings;
For our next hub meeting, May 23rd, we are planning an All City Hub meeting.
We are inviting all other groups and individuals that are working on issues key to our transitioning to come share what they are up to. Everyone, this is a great time for us to grow our movement and reach out to people and groups we admire to join us. Come introduce a group or action to other like minded people or tell us what you yourself have been working on lately. If you have a group you want to invite, go for it and please shoot me and the rest of the steering committee an email at transitio...@gmail.com so we know who is coming. This is also a great chance to invite groups to join in Power Down Week and ask them what they might want ot do to be part of it.
For our June 27 hub meeting as part of Power Down Week we are having Speed Reskilling Workshops.
Inspired by Andor Harvath and the amazing speed workshops he has given at the All City events at Club Timbuktu in years past.
How much can you teach in 2- 5 min? making Kefir? no knead bread? building a cold frame? how to bark a log? the basics of purifying water ? the basics of compost? Everyone is a teacher and everyone learns.
The goals of speed reskilling workshops are;
To demystify skills and knowledge that we will need to transition to a post carbon world.
To share these same knowledge and skills
To get to know each others knowledge and skill sets.
To play and have fun while we learn.
