Hi,
I'm planning to do a series of video interviews at places I travel around the power cuts issue and how it affects us etc.
The objective is same: to highlight and share citizens voices around the issue from their area.
I'm looking to ask them just 5 questions and make a series of videos around this and publish on our site as reports etc/stories on the blog.

What do you guys think should be the most important questions to ask?

Do share. More soon!
I'll do some interviews tomorrow or day after since I am in a small town with power only during 10 am to 5 pm and 10 pm to 5 am daily apart from any unplanned cuts in between. Also there are many villages around.

Good thought.

1. How do you come to know about the planned power cut timings ?

2. Why can't you manage with the planned power cuts ?

3. Has the power supply been better or worse in the last 10 years ?

4. Are you ready to pay more for uninterrupted power supply ?

5. Have you complained / protested to authorities about the power cuts ?

  1. How much electricity is stolen in your city/town? / How many people steal electricity?

  2. What are the main reasons for not getting electricity all the time - stolen electricity / less power supply / area not considered imp for supplying electricity all the time

  3. What do you use electricity for?

  4. If you were to choose most essential time periods when you have to have electricity, what will be those?

Thank you for the suggestions on questions here. I did an impromptu video on one of my recent visit.

I uploaded the Raw video here for feedback and comments on how to put it online. This is unedited version which will be removed and published with proper editing.

Do view the video and comment on the Q's I asked in the video and general tips on the presentation of this report.

Theft of power & theft due to lack of it !

The camera/phone has to be midway between you & the guy so that both volumes are equal. Also I think the camera could zoom more on the guys face. You'd need a tripod or some jugaad so that the video is still.

I like the way you have initiated the interview & sandwiched the main questions.
Feeling I should also do a few interviews here.

Think we were missing video/s on powercuts.in homepage. Good start therefore.

Used the *ahem* phone. iPhone4 I mean. Will see if I can get a tripod for future ones. I saw a friend use some tripod with Nokia N8.
