Are the news URLs in http://powercuts.in/feeds added manually or it's automated search feature in Ushahidi ?

Is there a way to tag these news reports by their location ?

I wish to use these feeds in the Android app's "Alerts" feature.

Automated RSS of Google News search for the term "Power Cut" in India sites.

There should be a way, the global energy map site that I have linked I think does that. Don't know how.

Ajay,
Google News Search API is deprecated.
Can you know from Ushahidi folks what do they plan once it's taken
off ?

Bing's is an option but I am not happy with the results it throws.

There is no API involvement here. Its just RSS feed URL that is supplied to Ushahidi and it fetches. So I think unless Google stops their search results availibility in RSS format, there is no problem here.

Right. That's good.
http://code.google.com/apis/newssearch/ is the javascript API they deprecated.
