Cannot approve senders

Whenever I try to approve a sender I get an error message saying
"Value too long".

I've tried this from more than one computer (both Windows XP and Mac)
and with a number of different browsers (ie7, firefox, chrome,
safari...) and the problem is persistant.

Any suggestions of the issue?

Approved/Blocked senders lists have only a 4 thousand character limit,
not entries. Review your entries and try to delete some or move them
to the org level. You may be able to move some to the approved
recipients lists for mailing lists.
